Founder's Vision

Saint O'Niell Alchemy is an atelier of olfactory architecture based in Mill Valley, constructing luxury candle and restorative beauty oil compositions for hair and body.

Using nature as our foundation, our fragrance architecture is intended to incite deep pleasure while leaning into the daring—with an inherent disdain for the formulaic.

The vision is steered by Isabelle, whose creative trajectory was forged through an early immersion in global brand identity alongside top-tier industry leadership, before applying that sharp visual acumen into celebrated careers in both fashion and interior design. Recognized by Women's Wear Daily as one of the top fashion designers to watch in the United States, Isabelle brings a proven track record of creating, producing and distributing to the nation's premier luxury department stores.

Drawing upon her background in interior architecture and fashion design, Isabelle built her craft on a foundational principle: To construct using only the highest quality materials, balancing proportion, scale and weight in consideration of both the internal harmony of the scent blend and how the scent exists within a space. She does not simply blend oils but rather shapes them to realize a singular vision—uninterested in recreating what has already been done.

n 2020, she channeled this lifetime of design pedigree entirely into her decade-long candlemaking practice. Engineering a proprietary multi-wax blend and consulting with cosmetic scientists to perfect her hair and body oil formulations, she translated her visual language into the sensory world. From this precise intersection of art, science and technical mastery, Saint O'Niell Alchemy was born.

BRAND NAME ORIGIN

Saint O'Niell is named for a marriage — the union of Belle Saint and James O'Niell in New Orleans, where two families of consequence converged.

  • On one side stood Percy Saint, who served as Attorney General of Louisiana.
  • On the other, Charles Austin O’Niell (known as "Chief"), the legendary Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court, whose 33 year tenure stands as one of the longest in American history.

Their legacies were shaped by vigilance, deliberation. and the enduring weight of decision.

Saint O'Niell Alchemy carries that inheritance forward — not in rulings but in ritual; in carefully conceived compositions, and in the understanding that quiet permanence is established through disciplined artistry over time.
